TODAY IN HISTORY #RIP

TODAY IN HISTORY #RIP

Today, we remember the tragic loss of lives on September 26, 1992, when the Nigerian Air Force Hercules C-130 crashed shortly after takeoff from Lagos.

32 years ago, hopes and dreams were shattered, leaving behind irreparable scars. Students, instructors, and staff of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, from Nigeria and African nations, perished in an instant.

Families were torn apart, left to navigate unbearable grief and uncertainty. The pain never truly fades, but we honor their memory by persevering.

To the families affected, we see your strength and resilience. Your loved ones may be gone, but their legacy lives on through you. Keep holding on to the memories, and know that you're not alone.

May the sacrifices of those brave individuals never be forgotten. May their souls continue to rest in peace.

Let's take a moment to remember:

The laughter silenced
The dreams unfulfilled
The futures cut short

But also:

The courage displayed
The bonds formed
The legacies left

To the families, friends, and colleagues of the victims: Your resilience is inspiring. Keep moving forward, and know that we remember and honor your loved ones today and always.  - @Dejiadesokan
